OEM M3 sideskirts on a non M...

What modifications need to be done to install OEM M3 sideskirts on a non-M car? I have an E90 if that makes a difference.

Thank you

M3 sides tend to stick out like 3-4 millimeters out when installed on a non-m because m3's have wider rear fenders.. my advice get m3 sides made for non m from sponsors..
and installation is easy. pop it in, mounted with clips...

Thank you for the no bull shit reply. Are you familiar with any sponsors that sell M3 skirts for an e90 LCI?

try suvneer.com should be able to call them and get a set for $130 plus shipping. Also, LTMW can modify an OEM set of e90 m3 skirts to fit non m cars. A few members have done it.

I was curious to know what they do to modify the OEM skirts to make them fit. I can buy OEM M3 skirts from Tischer, but I am not sure what is involved to get them to work on my car.

for some reason i feel like ive heard that the OEM m3 side skirts are longer, your are definitely better off with the m3 replica side skirts, and for around $200 why even hassle modifying real m3 ones

Thanks. Evan at Tischer seemed to think it just involved moving some clips, but he wasn't 100% sure. If it requires cutting the sideskirts back I agree if I can find some replicas that are designed to bolt right on that would be my preference. Finding them for the e90 LCI is proving to be difficult though.

Suvneer site appears to be dedicated to American SUV's although I see they post carbon fiber bits on MB World.

You have to call suvneer. They supply many vendors here. The aftermarket skirts have been reported to be over length on occasion. That is why having ltmw do it is appealing. OEM is always better than aftermarket. Also aren't skirts interchangeable between LCI and pre LCI?

It doesn't make sense. Ofc it would fit. the general structure of the car is preserved, meaning that the doors /side skirts/rear bumper/ rear trunks are interchangeable...

Edit: They are interchangeable, but you should get pre-lci clips to go with lci parts (the clips are just different. The holes in the lci are wider than pre-lci. It will fit if you reuse your pre-lci ones, as member Boneout said)

I got in touch with Gary at suveer and he had sideskirts that fit the e90 lci - $200 shipped. He sent some pics and they look real nice. Thank you for the referral.
