Fantastic amount of work done..and as why to do it...why not do it and be completely original?? It's one off car now...I applaud the car. Looks amazing!

Impressive!

The guy basically built a factory quality car, maybe better.

If you go in Asia or Australia, thats a different thing. I am in Singapore right now. A normal 323i is worth around 223 000 Singapore Dollars. NO JOKE. I went to the dealership. Convert that into US/Canadians? 172 000. Yes, 172 000. Now THAT are some taxes
Uhm well in my part of Europe they are expensive E90 M3 €101k -> US $147k ->CAN $140k E92 M3 €114k -> US $166k -> CAN $158k

New 1M starts at €80k here, which makes 116k US$ The 1M goes for €50k in Germany and in the UK 40k UKP which is 45k Euros. Taxes are insane here

Well, not exactly a one-off - there have been at least two such conversions here in the US. I always wished for an M3 sedan and I'd totally have one if BMW had made it. I was seriously thinking about buying one of the US cars converted, but it was Imola Red and I couldn't get past the color. Unfortunately, the poor sales of the E36 M3 sedan made BMW think twice about the car, and the E90 M3 sales will likely be the final nail on the coffin.

That's possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen a BMW enthusiast do. Better than any build story I've read here. The guy was nice enough to write down notes in English too. What a cool guy.

But that's just because of our lovely BPM purchase tax; most european countries have much better car prices (AND way less road tax).
