Any progress on this?

Buy the cable and let him remote flash you with the file..Simple if you want to be the guinea pig.

From what I'm reading about the Alpina flash, it sounds like exactly what I want in DS/M modes but maybe a little too smooth in D.

Would it be possible to make a new file, combining the OEM shift parameters in D but using the Alpina parameters for DS/M?

For me that would be the best of both worlds.

Try the Alpina D mode first before changing anything. It really is a big improvement, especially for puttering around town with the wife and kids in the car.

The WinKFP application runs in Windows so you would need a virtual machine running on your MAC.

^ yes, with bootcamp or virtual, you'll still have to pony up and buy windows.

Anyone doing this (coding) in central Florida?

Seriously. Windows was around $200 or something the last time I bought it to run on my old MacBook. You can buy a cheap pc laptop for $250.

When I had the flash done the engine was off and ignition was to the ON position so the gas guage was reading. After my 2010 was flashed we attempted to flash the 2007 and it was not possible

FYI This flash drains a lot of the battery in a short amount of time so it was advised to do a short drive to make sure the battery had charged
