Need help with clutch and flywheel ordering

im ordering the ACT street clutch with new bolts and throw out bearing.

But the shop says i need a new flywheel or i can send it down to portland to get resurfaced but it takes like a week and costs like 250 bucks with shipping

Where can i get the best price on a dual mass flywheel for my car, i dont want to spend 1k on a stupid flywheel

i would be ok with the idea of a aftermarket dual mass but im having a hard time finding them

Just find a local machine shop to do it. Many shops will be apprehensive...but just tell them that it is really not that big of a deal to take a few thou off the surface. It's not like the flywheel is warped and needing to be trued and balanced.

Or you can just buy a CM clutch/flywheel combo and be done with it

I live in the middle of BFE. the shop im going to said there is 1 guy in our area that can do this and last time they used him they had to buy a new head for the car that he was working on and they refuse to use him. So they said either buy a new one or ship it to this shop they trust in oregon

i suppose i could call the napa machine shop and see if they could re surface it but they are a 4 hour drive away but they might deliver

I'd try to get a spare then to send out. Still cheaper than a brand new one. Cheapest I've heard of one new is $750
