question about how your tint was done..
I stopped by a fairly popular tint shop today to ask about prices and other stuff. The guy was in the middle of doing an acura (the windshield to be exact). He wanted 165 which seems very fair to me, especially considering how popular the shop is. What scared me was that while putting the windshield tint on, he had completely SOAKED the dash with the soap/water (i assume that's what he was using) mix from the squirt bottle. I know shops have to use this to apply the tint, but for those of you who saw your tint job being done, how wet did they get your interior? I'm just scared about water running down on the radio or other buttons

First off, I wouldn't recommend tinting the windshield, but this is of course your choice.
If you feel that this is a reputable shop that does a good job with window tint, you might speak with the owner or manager about this legitimate concern. You might ask if they would normally lay a towel over the dashboard to protect the parts, etc. They are simply spraying dilute soapy water onto the inside of the window so that the tint can be moved into place. They will then squeegy (sp?) the bubbles out and allow to dry. |

Remember to ask if they do the back window in one piece.
