that has absolutely nothing to do with your oil... go call your credit card company and report fraud or something before the charge gets through

why? i would imagine they put the car on a lift unless they couldn't get the car on the lift, so it must have cost extra to have some guy jack it up by hand.......but still why?

they should have atleast called you before they changed the oil to alert you to the "fee". Then you could have refused or argued at that time. Time for a new dealer. That being said, your car required extra effort on their part. ///Matt may have an opinion on this.

Actually, a lowered car is a PITA when doing an oil change. I work at a dealership in the service dept (non-BMW). We have not charged our customers with there lowered cars, but it does take more effort than should be necessary compared to a car that is set up stock as intened by the car manufacturer. I do use the shop when I do my oil change. We have a two different brands of the same type of lift and my car is less difficult to raise on the other brand, but I still have to drive onto long wood blocks to get my car high enough for the lifting pads.

As if you can squeeze under a stock E90 to change the oil without lifting it. Only Gumby can do that.

Wow. There is no way a normal size person can just go under a stock height car and do an oil change like that(unless it was a raised truck).
I would understand if they try this on you if you go in for bad ball bearing or something like that. But oil change, LOL. |
