Adios!

Well the 335i got declared a total loss. Since getting the Z4M the 335i became the "comfortable" cruising car. So wanted to go with something a little bigger a little more comfortable for long trips. Wasn't a fan of any of the German offerings like the X3 (new one is nice but out of my price range, old one I don't like), VW Tiguan (4 cylinder, ugly as sin inside) etc.

So... I went where I never thought I would go.... ^_^

Loving it so far, still need to get use to the size and the automatic. If this bad boy came with a manual I would be in heaven! Anyways I'll probably still be around here and zpost.

Oh I agree it's very lose, was kind of hard to drive at first it was so loose. If it was my only car no way I would go that route. I have my Z4M which is my daily driver still. The gf will be mostly driving the Infiniti (she was driving the 335i mostly anyways) and we will take it for long trips and for when I need some extra space to haul crap.

Honestly its all relative. I'm sure in time I could get use to the Infiniti if I drove it everyday. Like when I was driving the 335i as a daily driver I thought it was super sporty. Whenever I got into another car it felt soft and bloated (like when I test drove the new 5 series). Then I got the Z4M and was driving that daily so every time I got in the 335i I felt that it was way too soft and bloated of course it didn't feel that way when it was all I drove.

Plus the ex35 is a great bargain. Loaded with every bell and whistle you can imagine (comfort access, nav, upgraded sound, awd, backup cameras, bt etc etc) 27k miles, certified, V6 from a G37... about $25k. I can't even get a base X3 for that.

I'm sure. I drive from Boynton to Deerfield and back on 95 every day! Red Z4MR is hard to miss.

The Infiniti will treat you well. I had a G37 coupe prior to my e92, and it never had one problem....Rock solid, reliable Japanese vehicle. Wish I could have had both in my garage, but my e92 has won me over. Good luck to ya!

Despite some of the negative reactions here from the BMW faithful, odds are you will have a good ownership experience with the EX - Infiniti quality is pretty solid, especially the ones built in Japan.

We picked up a CPO2008 EX35 with 12K on the clock in early 2010 - it was amazingly fast, it handled great for an SUV (it's essentially a tall G35 wagon), was a comfy highway cruiser and even got 25 mpg on the highway.

Cargo capacity wasnt as good as the QX4 that it replaced, and it takes alot of knocks in the automotive press for lack of rear seat room, but we could still get 10 bales of pine straw in it, or a couple 70# dogs (ad line: dogs love trucks)

My biggest beef was that you couldn't program the nav system while moving, but that's not exclusive to Infiniti - BMW seems to be the exception rather than the rule on that ability these days.

Enjoy it, we certainly did ours

Thanks! Yeah I read a lot of people complain about the back seat. For us its no issue since we don't have kids or anything. Honestly we would probably leave them folded down all the time for the extra cargo space anyways.

The nav thing is kinda annoying but I do believe there is a hack for it. Might do that one day.
