Find someone with an N51. I can't believe that no one here would unplug their sensor just to see if a code popped up. Maybe try the Z4 or the X3/5 guys.

If someone has a wiring diagram for the 330i, you might be able to tell if there would be a code thrown based on what signals go to the DISA.

AllmotorH22 and I were able to compare our dyno runs when he was untuned, and with me untuned with the 3-stage.

UNTUNED baselines show the 3-stage picking up ~9whp and ~10wtq PEAK, but the biggest gains were in the upper midrange, which were 17whp and 15+wtq. Also, there was a gain of about 15+wtq below 2500rpm. But there is a dip in power from about 3800-4300rpm (that's why you need a tune later). This is on a 325i btw.

basically, you are looking at double-digit increases in both HP and TQ from 4500rpm to 6000rpm
You're right, I was at work and couldn't view the videos. I get what you're saying now.

So are the below HP figures correct? Trying to extrapolate the baseline single stage 325i but I might be wrong.

325i (single stage, untuned): 179 hp
325i (single stage, rough tuned): 194 hp

325i (3 stage, untuned): 186 hp
325i (3 stage, tuned): ??? hp

Little confused also - are you guys working on a 3 stage tune, or a TB, or both? Keeping an eye on the thread.

3-stage tuned got me 210 hp on a dynojet but a 330 can do 220-225 on a dynojet. I'd like to see a high miles 330 on the dyno and see what it does.

If we can get our tune right, I have some evidence supporting that my car (single stage manifold) will do 212 hp on the same dynojet.

A 3 stage manifold will just carry us the extra 10-15 hp (222-227, stock header/exhaust)

Tell me what and where and I'll pull it as long as I can put it back, haha.

[edit] I had no clue what a DISA is so went to go look it up. For anyone else's reference:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37444

Also, not seeing any mention of DISA in RealOEM,

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...56&hg=11&fg=40

Am I looking in the wrong place?

[edit2] Correction, DISA is "adjuster unit" part #2

I'll do that tonight when I get home from work and classes.

I just want to make sure, from my reading, unplugging this shouldn't do any harm as if the actuator has no power it will remain closed (unless its fail position is open which I doubt) and during idle the DISA should have both actuator's closed.

Actually it's gonna be open. The they remain closed when the car is idling and open when you turn the car off.

Good news. No error codes.

I did not attempt to drive around as while my intuition tell me it would be fine, I've been wrong before.

np man. Let me know/pm me if you need anything else tested with the 330. As long as it doesn't bust anything I'll do what I can to help.
