Race is lower than sport.

I have sport and it is low enough for me.

Be aware that the HR Cup Kits do not have a name that matches the spring type. The Sport Cup kit has race springs, and the touring kit actually has the sport springs. You would think that the sport cup kit would have sport springs, but that is not the case.

I just have the sports springs, no cup kit, pics are here..... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=378556

I want to go cheap for the 328. If anything I would spend the money for coilovers on my 550.

If it's a DD, you may want to stay with the H&R Sport springs. Unless it's a dedicated track car or at least sees a lot of track time, why on earth would you want to run H&R race springs? I have H&R Sports on my E36, which is primarily my track car, and while great on the track, it is about as stiff as I would want for the street. Cannot imagine going with a stiffer setup for a DD.

i have the sport springs and they are perfect, i've seen the race and they are too low.

DIY at home. Went to autozone and borrowed their spring compressors. There are some great DIY write ups on here that I used to assist me.

If I were to do it again, I would replace the shocks at the same time, buy something matched to those springs or buy the cup kit that comes with matched shocks. At that point though you might be close to coilover prices.

I didn't want to put too much money into my car because it has a shitload of miles on it.
