I've got SSD's and to be honest I'm not impressed with them at all. They are barely noticeable during the day....Only consolation is that SSD's didn't require any handy work, just plug and play. From the pics I've seen so far the ones from the US are much brighter and actually visible during the day. Only issue is I'm no diy'er and had to get Teddy the owner of SSDD to fit them for me whilst at Santa Pod couple of weeks ago...Are the LUX's that hard to fit??? Mines is a 2009/58 plate coupe

TIA

Tiko

Tiko, the Lux H8's I have might be too much for a none DIYer. I'm a bodger and they aren't to challenggin for me. You might want to spend the £££ on lux h8's from the states, they are truely plug and play. Probably cost you £200 all in...might make you gulp but they will last you the life of the car. They have a heat sink which stops overheating=long life

BGM, I knew the risks of buying them, part of the reason why I went for the 2nd hand route. I've tried placing ferrite chokes over wires but they only improve it very little. When you want to listen to Classic FM its gotta be good quality or not at all . The info you supplied was very useful, I'll pass this on if I come to sell.

Well I paid £75 for the bulbs from SSDD, so £200 isn't too much of a dent for the look I'm after. Is there a UK group buy currently on these by any chance? You say it's plug and play, so there's definitely no diy'ing required at all??
