5w30

HI
Just wondering what oil people are running for 335i.
I currently have 5w30 but am thinking about 0w30. I understand that the difference is cold start thikness etc but uk does not really get cold enough for 0w ...is this correct?

Many thanks
Mike

You'll be fine. I've used 0W-40 for years (all year round) without issues.

I use 5/30 on my 325 Sport, seems to be fine, apart from I need to top it up regularly, I have no oil leaks but I think this is just down to be a straight 6 engine.

If you are using loads of oil consider swapping to the M grade stuff.

Hi, yes approx. 1 litre per 1000/1200 miles.

Really would like to take off all the panels below the engine and see if all is ok.
