It comes done to what you might think you can get away with and the effort. I am not going DPs on mine. Runs just fine with a custom tune (from someone other than wedge ;-) ) and just the IC. And no smell or all the other side effects. I think it also comes down to how much can a custom tune offer on the non-full throttle aspects.. (especially for a manual).. for me the DCT shifts are much better with the custom.

Put it this way, if you lean on it much more, you will probably start hitting more limiters (I dont think there are many on the manual though) that are DME set and that makes a custom tune pay off more...
