How would you feel about assisting in a valve cover and gasket replacement?

How about a quick install of e90 325i direct replacement side skirts?
It's an easy job but kind of hard since my car is lowered and the condo I live they don't allow working on car. I'm in Alexandria VA.

Hi Shane335. I just came across this thread. How timely, since I'm interested in tackling a valve cover gasket DIY on my '09 328i (N52K engine). I've gone over several videos, bought good quality parts, etc but when it came time to do it, I got as far as taking the acoustic cover off (I've done coils/plugs in the past), but the tight space by the firewall, taking the delicate PCV hose off, etc scared me off so I chickened out.

I'm still interested in DIY'ing this project but would feel a lot more comfortable having an experienced guy with me to walk me through and lend a hand. I'm in Fairfax county. Can you help?

Shane335:

Thank you very much for fixing my car (VCG, fluids change) and guiding me as to future maintenance issues. Honest and friendly advice is hard to find these days. I was pleasantly surprised at the VERY reasonable rate you charge, esp. given the high quality work you do! I'm very glad to have connected with you through this forum.
Am waiting to come back to have you work on my shocks/struts.

This is just a quick shout out to Shane335
If you live in MD/VA/PA and need anything done on your car, hit Shane up in Warrenton, VA. He was previously a certified AMG technician, track instructor and is basically a BMW wizard. Also a super nice dude. His 335i is pretty crazy, stage 3 with a dual clutched he swapped into it out of a 335is. I went to him over this past weekend to have KW V1's put onto my 335i xdrive, Shane did a great job and offered to do it at a really good price. I'm planning to keep on going to him for any of my repair and installation work on my car. I know he has all the software and skills to do any kind of coding, tuning, or crazy deep swap projects. Be sure to tip him if you can!

How comfortable are you doing a CBU clean on a 335D diesel including valves and intake? Different than the gasser obviously. Let me know.
