You can fit the pogo behind the center heating vent Remove the vent and cut away some of the plastic. Stealth style
Atleast you could for E46.. http://forum.evotechnik.net/showthre...t=pogo+stealth

The road angel plus is perfetc IMO, good looking casing, good size display up at dash level, i use it as my main speedo now as its at eye level and it tells the correct GPS speed. |

I use the SatNav DVD with speed camera positions highlighted. But as others have noted, this is just a visual warning, without any sound.
I'd like to get a device that will give an audible sound when approaching cameras, but I don't really want or need that device to be visible. Do all such devices have to either be dash mounted themselves, or else have an antenae that is? Is there a device I can fit in the sun glasses tray (formerly ashtray), that would still give audible warnings, without the need to have something mounted on the dash? |

Surely that's all you need. An alert 100m to go.. increasing until you're on top of the scamera. I had my RA underneath a cubby tray in my Scoob. The display was pointless, but the audible alert was what you needed to hear.. especially when pushing on... |

Just bought a Road Pilot Micro off fleaBay. I had one in my S4 and loved it, it's so tiny and can almost hide next to the drivers A-Pillar. Pretty old-tech as non of this fancy GSM/GPRS updates and colour screen, but simple is sometimes best. The deal actually includes two head units and a laser detector... so might put the second in MrsB's 130 too... although she'll probably complaine it wakes the kids up!

I only 'ordered' it yesterday mate, but will get pics up as soon as it's installed. Nice thing is because the GPS sensor is seperate, the unit it tiny 30mmx30mmx8mm ish, so used to just leave it on the dash in the S4. Will probably get the local ICE guys to install it as I want the laser detector in the front grill.

Who has their pogo alert hard wired? I have original hard wire lead but havent got a clue where to wire it to. I'm tempted to cut out the ashtray and wire it to ciggy lighter somehow.

I have mine hardwired. You need to bring the wire down the side (right hand side), and tap it to the one of the live wires under the right tray(not sure which one on yours as its a different car to mine)

RA plus?, re-chargeable - no wires! Lasts about 6 hours (or more if you use 'turn off when stopped'), then charge on the USB when updating or use the ciggy lighter if you need it on a long journey.
Blackspot do cheap upgrades if you return your old unit. Or go fo the new pro version with GSM updating and 'live' van sites, still rechargeable. |

It is hard wired in and sits in front of the windscreen pillar. The small unit is removeable if parking somewhere dodgy! It displays your mph all the time (accurately!!) and then switched to the 'camera' display when approaching a camera site. If your already under the speed limit, it just gives a subtle bleep, if your going too fast, the display turns red and a voice/bleep signal warns you. |
