AR Downpipes Installed...how does it look?

Hey guys got some pictures from my friend while installing my AR Downpipes. These are mid install so as you will see an O2 sensor may not be connected on some pics (which I have seen in mid two pics) but now everything is. I am just talking fitment/parts that need to be installed correctly. How does it all look? It definitely is a tight fit Sorry for crappy phone quality pics.

Thanks guys!

Looks great man. AR DP's are definitely a quality upgrade

I'm putting on my VRSF's on Saturday. Notice gains on the butt dyno? What about noticeable increase in exhaust sound?

And my favorite question...is there a
residual odor when sitting idle at a light?

My car was definately a lot louder with the golf tee mod (JB4 canflap) and ***less downpipes. It was a little raspy but overall a pretty decent sound. i never had odors till i went completely ***less.

Sadly have not even driven it yet. Going to pick up the car tomorrow. Will get back to you about this but I know very noticeable increase in exhaust sound as my buddy has the same setup.

Took about three hours he said. Definitely time consuming. I am going to have the canflap open as well but I wonder how it sounds with it closed. Any comments on this? How noticeable are the odors?

There was definitely an increase in sound! I also have the canflap open, and I love the exhaust note it produced. As for smell, I did notice a faint smell for about the first week. Now it's completely gone! Not sure what changed, maybe the secondary cats stepped up there game? LOL

Run it open. Just disconnect the solenoid behind the drivers side tail lamp. It will throw a code, but don't worry about it. It's common and the dealership doesn't care. Catless DP's with the stock catback on the coupe sounds really nice. I bought VRSF's almost a year ago now and absolutely love them. BTW, OP... They look great, but you should have saved your money. For what you paid you could have had basically the same DP's and a 7" FMIC. Hope you enjoy them as much as AR enjoys your money! LOL

Haha I would have agreed and got VRSF like you say but I got a ridiculous deal on the forums for these brand new. Almost same price Trust me I agree and would not have bought them for their usual price.

Good to hear you got a great deal. I think it's funny reading some of the post people make when they paid full price for the AR's and they defend they are the best. But who really cares when you can buy VRSF and now BMS that look just like AR and VRSF pipes for even less that perform the same way. You just want to the shit out of them for being so stupid. Anyway, good job and they look really nice... Now go get yourself a good 7" FMIC... LOL

Are you an e90? I know the e92 does not have the resonator, so maybe that's the case. Plus having your flap open in the muffler will also give you more sound.

I am e92, has JB4 flap open, and I am 335is so have a bit of different muffler. My friends def sounded louder that is why I am puzzled. Could be because I was passenger in his?

Unplug the connector in the trunk to disable it manually.

Took a friend of mine 1.5 hours to install my AR DP's on a lift at his shop. He had only ever done one other BMW and it was an n55. Great mod. Great sound. Great power
