It's all ethyl alcohol, whether you drink beer, wine or liquor. At least you hope it is. If you're dippin' into grand papy's moonshine, you're on your own. It doesn't matter in the least if you mix different types of drinks, it's all about the quantity.

The problem people run into with "beer then liquor, never sicker" is they elevate their blood alcohol with beer, which is more dilute and enters the blood stream more gradually, and then start consuming alcohol in higher concentrations with liquor. All the sudden, wham, you're toast.

My best drunks were with beer - a smooth, constant flow of alcohol into the system. My worst / deepest drunks were with liquor - 1 liter of tekillya shots over a 4 hour period. That hurt.

Some tips:
1. Drink only light beer
2. Alternate glasses of water with your drinks
3. Avoid shots. Give them away to your alcoholic friends, or toss them (over your shoulder!). Bartender will be more than happy to take it as a gift/extra tip, if it's not a shitty drink.
4. Stop drinking 2 hours before sleep - stay up until 5A if you must
5. Drink a ton of water (or other non-alcoholic liquid, e.g. Gatorade) before bed
6. Avoid caffeinated mixers - will keep you up an hour or 2 later, you won't sleep soundly, and you'll drink more)
7. DD a must
8. Too much Advil will hurt your kidneys, 2-3 at most.
9. Big dinner
10. Start late, late dinner out
11. Eat breakfast and lunch
12. Nurse your drinks - try to practice self control. If you can't remember the night, it's a waste of time. Enjoy yourself!

One last personal piece of advice. You may look and feel like the pic while "up". But the next morning is not so flashy.
The two T's I no longer can drink much less smell. Tequila and Tuaca.

Any male seen drinking Mic Ultra must immediately remove his testicles and send them back for re-assignment to someone that can use them.

Eat some rice like an hour or two before. I cant explain it but it will help a lot. It has to be rice (noodles wont even work). Otherwise you will throw up or get drunk easily.

The rice will act like a sponge and help absorb the alcohol

This has probably been said and I don't care to read it all.

Don't be a vagina. Put your asshat on and take it like a man. You'll throw up no matter what you try to eat or do before you go out. So eat whatever you normally eat.

Wanna go out for a good dinner and eat a $50 filet. That's fine to cuz you're just wasting the $50, it WILL end up in the toilet, on the floor, car seat, your chest and lap, your bed or in any combination or all of these ways.

So suck it up, have a good time and don't die.

Oh 3 advil after throwing up. 3 advil in the morning and grab 2 of the purple vitamin waters(loaded with everything needed for hangovers, it even says it on the label haha) or have a few bananas on hand. The potassium works wonders

As has been said, hydrate. I drink tons of water during the day as is, no big deal. I personally recommend eating a filling meal as a Subway style sandwich or burger. Take asprin before hand and before going to bed. Wake up and chug a gatorade.

Glaceau(sp) Revive. Good stuff. It has a lot of potassium in it. One before bed and one when you come to.

I agree about mixing; not because of types of alcohol (it's the same), but because of sugar content. I find, for me at least, the more sugary the drink the worse the hangover so I generally stick to beer or straight up, but no mix drinks and no shots.
