E92: Will LCI Power Folding Mirrors fit Pre-LCI?

Hi Everyone,

Was looking into retrofitting power folding mirrors to my 2008 E92 325i M-Sport.

Price for OEM from stealers is a non runner so was looking at options.

Can anyone confirm if 2010 LCI power folding mirrors can be retrofit to my car?

Thanks!

Pretty sure I read somewhere that they do indeed fit, just a standard three screw arrangement

Actually this is where I thought I'd seen it mentioned, but this is pre lci to pre lci folding mirrors:

He contacted me about my car for sale, thought he was interested but he wanted to retrofit power folding mirrors. I removed the window controls in the door to check the wires were in place to power them. Afaik they are on my car. I sent him some pics I'm happy to share but he may be able to advise. Although he hasn't come back to me.

Afaik it's possible

Yes I had seen that thread and that is what got me looking.

I have in my car auto dim mirror, electric seats with seat memory which according to the video implies I should be able to follow the same process.

Now just need to know if a set of 2010 LCI mirrors and switch will work?

I'd love to know if the two are compatible too, as I have powerfold/heated mirrors on my LCI but I'd rather go to power pre LCI mirrors instead or M3 mirrors as they are so much less fugly.

Ask the seller if
1- LCI mirrors have 3 pin / wires.
2- Window switch wiring loom has Grey and Blue wire.
3- You car has same Gery and Blue wire in the driver side mirror connection

And if followings are correct, then chances of retrofit is 99%.

Given the condition that your are three pin / cables and pre-LCI / M3 mirrors have 3 pins, they are compatible.
