New Wheels and a Rack

Hey guys,
I haven't posted on here for a little while so I thought I'd show off the new additions to my 335. About a month back I picked up a yakima Whispbar throughbar roof rack system with the bike attachment and Im not only loving the usability of it so far, but I really dig the look.

I also picked up some style 219m wheels in gunmetal. the wheels are fitted with the m3 spec tire sizes of 245/40/18f 265/40/18r michelin pilot super sports, so as you could imagine i do experience rubbing in the rear due to the aggressive offsets on the wheels. This forced me to order all new tires at the oem 335i tire specs of 225/40 and 255/35. there will be no rubbing after that. I'm kinda gonna miss this beefy tire look though. enjoy the pics!

I love these wheels. Why don't you just roll your fenders? Or is the rubbing that bad.

PSS's have a more square shoulder and will rub with your specs, 245/40/18f 265/40/18r. I did not rub with 219M's and Continental ExtremeContact DW 235/40R18, 265/35R18 until I added 5mm spacers in the rear, bringing the rear offset to ET18.

i removed the spacers. but then i got Apex EC-7's (18x9 ET31, 18x10 ET25) with the same tires. Did not rub. Put the 5mm spacers back on, no rubbing. I think that even though I went wider, the 265's were slightly stretched on the 18x10's so it gave me some clearance. i got my rear fenders mildly rolled after putting on the spacers just for precaution.

i've only rubbed when i loaded my trunk, rear seats and roof rack going over dips.
