Spacer questions

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting some spacers for my rear wheels. I personnaly think the front one are fine. I got 18x8 on 235/40/18. I'm thinking 12 mm as the wheel has an offset of 35.

Also, are they pretty hard to remove? I want to remove them for the winter and dont want to have to fight against them!

Lastly, I've looked into H&R and PySpeed! Which one would you recommend? Any other brand I should look into?

Thanks

I am on 18x8.5 +35 with 235 tires. I have a 15mm spacer at the rear and still have (small) room to do a bit more. Small room because I did not roll my fenders, lots of room if you roll. I think you can at least do 18 mm at the rear. Mine is pre-LCI though, not sure what you have and if it makes a difference.

Never had to take it off thus far, so not sure about removal. But if you install it properly (with anti-seize), it was reported by others to be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking on 12mm or 15mm, but I was worried that 15mm might be too much!

As for removing them, since it is only a summer thing, I do want to be able to "easily" remove when I install my winter tire. I guess anti-seize should do the job.

What brand do you have?

I use anti seize. It's a gray container with a chrome top. I think I got it from autozone

just checked on their website and I had a question:

Do you have the "FLAT" version? What is the difference between this one and the others?

Thanks

I'm looking for spacers too and looked at Rogue, here's their description of the product: 1xmm, pair (not for E39).

Um, so choose the "not for E39" to fit everything else?

Did you find out about which one to order?

I like the removal lips on those for my part!

I use Burger Motorsports spacers because they were at a pretty good price including the extended lugs. 12mm front, and 15mm in the back. And yes use Anti-seize and save yourself the headache even though some spacers have notches for easy removal.

What is your wheel setup in the back? 15mm seems to me the limit for certain!

Thanks

Sorry for late response, I didn't notice your question earlier.

I think the flat version only applies for the 10mm. Anything more than that will come with the hubcentric lip. Where possible, having the lip is better than the flat design based on my understanding, as it promotes a better fitment and reduce potential for vibrations. Hope this helps.
