My MEGASPEED tune, 335d

I decided to send out my ecu to get tuned, it is on its way to Canada, I pulled it today and will mail it Friday, I had a JBD which I loved but it is on to bigger and better, I will be getting a tune, all emissions still intact, spiderboot, and hand held tuner so I can flash the ecu myself,I will keep posted on the progress...

When is your DDE supposed to arrive at Jarek's shop? He's closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Sending it out today, 3 day mail there, Monday should arrive, let them do their thing and send it back, should have it by Thursday the 7th, my car is down for a bit, I had an accident and poked a hole in trans pan and had some bumper damage, so it should be done soon...

Did Jarek mention using a certain type of box as the Canadian beavers that loiter around the post offices here have an affinity for various boxes?

Last thing you need is a chewed up DDE man.

The type of box is crucial when shipping to Canada. I had to specify the right type when shipping from the US on car parts.

Our beavers are ruthless.

It's only when a certain glue/resin is used to seal the box. Here in Canada, the beavers love maple syrup and that resin seems to taste similar to our maple syrup. Beavers have insane teeth and will chew through any box that contains that glue.

I think your DDE will make it to Jarek on Wednesday, as Monday is also a holiday here in Canada. This weekend is a long weekend!

Why do you have to send it in if you can flash it yourself? Just curious.

You need to install the Spider Boot chip on the DDE first which allows for OBD flash enabling. Jarek installs the SB chip and Mega Speed tune onto the DDE.

Essentially what the SB does is bypass the encryption on our DDEs, allowing for future OBD flashing after its been installed.

They are currently in the Northern part of Ontario so no worries there. In September they move further south towards the CAN/US border to keep warmer for the winter.

Any idea if that particular resin/glue is used? I couldn't find it on the FAQ section of their website.
