What is my best option here? (Suspension Dilemma)
I'm currently running the stock Sport suspension on my 2007 E90 and have been researching options in reducing body roll. For 5 years I daily drove a Honda S2000 with a Koni Yellow / Eibach Pro setup, so perhaps I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to handling?
After much research on these forums, I think I might just go crazy... At first I was thinking of going the Koni FSD and Eibach Pro route. Then I came across reports of the FSD failure rates when not paired with stock springs. Is this true with even the stock Sport springs? I'm now quite concerned about the life expectancy and rapid deterioration of the FSD shocks. Maybe the Koni Yellows would be a better option with the Eibachs... I haven't seen any reports on failure rates with these. Then I started to lean more towards the BMW Performance shocks and springs. This it seems would give me a tiny drop compared to stock sport, but I'm not sure how performance compares to the koni shocks. This kit is more pricey than the koni setup, but I am willing to splurge if this will deliver great results. Lastly, what about adding the M3 front sway bar, without changing springs and shocks? Would this reduce body roll enough? Is this my simple solution??? Appreciate the help guys. |

Originally I had the stock suspension with the exception of the M3 front/rear sways. It makes the car corner flatter and it's a great upgrade overall. Just do the front E93 M3 bar (tiny bit stiffer than then E92 version).
The Koni Yellows are a better choice for pairing with springs of your choosing because they are rebound adjustable. H&R Sport springs go well with them.
