Hi guys,

Apparently, on one of my wheels, it seems as if the paint is chipping off. And if you compare the pictures below you can see the oem paint was painted over by something else or is it? Maybe its my eyes. Anyway, how can I fix the wheel?

FYI Dont ask me how it happened, I have no idea. When I first bought the car, it was already there but less noticable, after a few wash it starting to chip more and more.

Probably if you bought the car from a dealership the wheel was curbed and they had it refurbed before they put it up for sale, unfortunately looks like the refurber did not scuff the old paint enough before laying down the new. Might want to call them and see if they'll redo it for you, otherwise it'll cost you $150 or so to have it done again.

Refinish is your only option $150-$250 a wheel depending on size and finish is the typical price.

It looks like it is standard BMW silver, if you are up for sanding it all and priming and painting yourself, this is the paint that will match, I use it for curb touch ups and it matches the oem color so well, that you can just spray in damaged areas and it will match (in your case, looks like it will all need sanded and refinished as the finish adhering is failing).

You can try the Rim Doctor. They were able to fix one of my rims and it looked great.
