Pure stage 2 DD N54 - now High Flow

Finally decided to pull trigger on pure stage 2 DD's after debating whether or not to continue selling car.

I'll be jumping on the install as soon as the snow melts here. The car will continue to run MHD flash only with 94/ meth tune as well as e50-e60/meth tune to hopefully hit that 600whp mark.

Turbos look good, thanks to Pure and Mike at n54tuning

Will definitely follow up with dyno and track times

It was during the holidays so about 4 weeks. Wasn't in a rush either as the car is still in storage for the winter

Current wait time with us is 2-3 weeks if you want the new turbo to be shipped out to you first & 1-2 days if you send your turbo first

So I upgraded my DD's to high flows and will be installing next week. What tune should I load on the car for when I drop it at the shop to be installed as I don't have a map yet for upgraded turbos?

Congrats on getting the high flows! I knew I would be getting a meth setup so I went with JB4 and back end flash. On pump gas the purse and especially high flows are yawning at 18 psi, gotta do meth or E85 to even get them to make average boost

Just wondering what tune is safe to run with the ps2's installed while waiting on a proper tune revision?

Ps2 High flows installed and running strong. So far on 94 pump and it's outpowering my old stock turbo e60+meth tune by a longshot and I ran the stockers hard at 26psi peak.

Currently have 95770 plugs gapped to 0.22 and getting some timing drop in upper rpm range. Also tried 5992's gapped to .018 and was getting same thing. Could still be due to the Canadian winter blend gas

https://datazap.me/u/msport335/pure-...a=3-21&mark=74

Ready to spray the meth at it to see what it does...hopefully it clears some corrections too

Thinking about getting some Pure Stage 2's myself. I have a Cobb V2, is there a map I can run until I get a pro-tune?

You can just run the most aggressive map until you pro tune.

here's a log from latest revision on PS2 high flows.

94pump + 100% meth (1000cc nozzle)

https://datazap.me/u/msport335/pure-...og=2&data=3-22

hitting 29.5psi and timing ramps up from 10-12deg.

Car feels strong but i think i'm relying too much on virtual dyno to see where i'm at power wise as it shows right around the 600whp mark. my wgdc is at about 74%. once i switch over to e50/meth it doesn't look like ill have the headroom to be at 650+whp since all thats left on the table would most likely be 1psi of boost and maybe a couple degrees timing.

there is one Pure DD car which made 634whp at 26-27psi and his wgdc was right inline with mine.

is there a way to distinguish between DD's and high flows?

would like to hear some opinions

thanks,

i have the stock size snout on my high flows ....they are machined out and very thin....went that route because i already had stock size mmp inlets prior to getting the high flows. don't think theres much difference due to the snout size as the first high flow beta tester put down 686whp with stock size snouts back in 2015.

Are you running stock knock tables? I haven't heard of anyone running 29.5 PSI and 12 degrees on 94+Meth before. I thought I was close to limit with 94+meth (900ml/min) 12.3 degrees but 10 pounds less boost on GC lites.

yes still stock knock tables ...ken/wedge tune

i was surprised to see 29psi as well but logs look fairly clean...few timing corrections up top but ill be swapping to a larger nozzle to see if it clears that up.
