A mate of mine was an engineer at lotus and had company elise's all the time. The single common factor was that they were all sold on at 3 months or 3k miles and he was given another one to run.
Must be a tax thing im guessing for the 3 months.# Bought my 335d from Syntner in Harold Wood and they were really good. Maybe it was just my sales guy (Harp) who really went out of his way to get the deal done. Id def go back t them again based on the experience - but it sounds like i was one of the lucky ones. Cooper Croydon on the other hand re-define shit service and being bloody inept. Was there on saturday and a salesman was trying to get a customer to buy a lower spec car for more money based on the fact that it was '3 months newer' ... yet both 06 cars! he was actually saying 'no this is the car you want, not that one'. the arrogant <insert c word>

Funny how different forums cause people to cross paths! This must be Gareth who is also an avid golfer?

The thing is, I don't think the OP is actually getting a BAD service? After all the deal must be good, else he could simply walk away and buy elsewhere.
The fact is that he wants a car with a SPECIFIC spec and has found one. The dealer has given him almost 20% discount BUT he would not be able to do that particular car at that particular price (and make a few quid on it) without taking advantage of their demo discount that BMW/Mini will pull from them if the car is sold within the 3 months. |
