E90 Door Locking Sound
After having my car for more than 4 years, I find the door locking sounds to be very unpleasant and unrefined. I think they are getting rougher and rougher.
I am wondering, if there's a way to fix this? Add some more padding material somewhere? |

Mine doesn't beep, so I like the noise from the actuators, its confirmation the car is locked.

The newer E90 loaners I've driven seem to have slightly quieter door lock actuators than my 2006.

Hm I like that they have a strong sound especially since I don't have (or want) an alarm

Take it to the dealer and have them install and code the alarm. OR you can buy the alarm kit from ECS Tuning and install it yourself, but you will still have to take your car to the dealer to activate it via coding.
