Question: How to paint/color stock exhaust tip on E90 328i??

Hello. Instead of buying a chromed exhaust tip for my E90, I wanted to know if I can paint/color/etc. my car's exhaust tip to a black?

My car is black so I wanted to keep up with the black theme. I figure if I do not like it, I can go ahead an purchase some steel tips.

Also, how would I go about doing this? Any DIY guides out there, etc?

One would assume you could just sand it a bit and then paint it with high temp engine paint..

In the first post, he talks about how he painted his exhaust pipes. I might try that on mine, just for kicks.

I had a set powdercoated through Gavin@MMW. This of course means that the colors are a little more limited, but I liked the color that came out.
