Anyone on the Toronto heading to PH
I finally made a ship heading to Los Angeles after a long journey from South Africa I will be in sunny and warm Los Angeles on the 25. Anyone heading this way?

Thanks so much. I feel that this car is a world travler from south africa to germany to the west coast. I want to thank you for all your updates to this site it makes getting our cars more interesting in all the movements the ship takes to get to the ports.
The Toronto is leaving in the morning or afternoon and is expected at PH March 24 a day after Easter with the Phoenix Leader coming a day ahead so the VPC center should be busy that week and with the week long vacation for some it may take a tad longer yet my dealer is in the Los Angeles area. |

Do you have AISlive? It looks like Toronto is heading out of Bremerhaven. She's still in a large clump of ships and it is kind of hard to pick her out, but I think she's sailing.

Looks like the TORONTO is docked in Zeebrugge, Belgium. I've been tracking the FALSTAFF this weekend, checking all the relevant websites, watching it go through the Panama Canal. It's headed for PH now, but I can't seem to track it anymore. But here's your boat - it's near the bottom of the pic:

Yes. I will keep an eye on her today and see where she heads. If she makes it into Manzanillo today and then back out into that outer bay tonight, she may transit the canal tomorrow. If she gets hung up at Manzanillo overnight, then she will wait for another day to transit; because these big ships only start their journal through Gatun in the early morning.

I just refreshed the AIS page; it looks like she's headed back now. She may be getting ready to pass through the canal today. I've heard that sometimes these ships may transit ahead of schedule.

She is sitting out in the bay. I am fairly certain she won't transit today. It is too late. It is noontime there now. Ships only go westward through Gatun Locks in the morning, conversely, ships move eastward through the locks in the afternoon.
She will sit in that outer bay and wait her turn. I would guess she will transit tomorrow. |

This AIS map shows she is still in the Gatun Locks, but this radar snapshot can be up to one hour old. You can see Phoenix Leader is sitting in Gatun Lake. If she keeps going, she will reach Centennial Bridge camera in about four hours, or so. She is on such a crazy schedule, she might just park in Gatun Lake overnight. Who knows. . .
