I bet he was real proud of himself.

I am looking at cars I could rent near the fresno airport that would be fun. A 335i vert is $1,500+ for 2 days. Seriously? The 2010 m5 is $2k. If it was near vegas I could get a ferrari for $500.

Vegas is not that far from Central Cali actually. I'd fly to Vegas and rent the Ferrari for sure. Just make sure you get unlimited miles and out-of-state permission if you can.

Driving time from Vegas is around 5-6 hours to Coalinga. San Francisco is approx 2 hours away from Coalinga, and I'm sure there's plenty of nice rental cars in that area. Have you looked at Bakersfield? Also not far from Coalinga and it's a major city.

A month before the event is usually when the lower HP cars fill up the slots. I see that an n55 335 just signed up. And a 350 HP Merc CLK. Hopefully some more e85 or meth stock turbo n54's join the fun.

Per Rob I should be receiving my RBs next friday, and slapping them in along with trunk meth kit the week after that, so count me out of stocks as well

How is everyone elses preparation going? Should we be expecting any surprises?

When's the FFTEC open house? I may swing by there.

Glad you can make it. So 573 RWHP = 600 CHP

Hey Now!

People could have claimed that I was on a high reading dynojet. I would rather "under promise and over deliver" versus the other way around.

I have no idea why they ask for crank horsepower, WHP is the only number that is relatively close to reality (usually within a few % points of true power). CHP would then take that level of inaccuracy and multiply it by its error factor. :P

So modest

Which dynojet did you test at?

Nice.

You will be on par with the meth N54's if you run the 100 octane race gas map. I doubt 100 octane will be readily available so I'd bring some if I were you. Terry Burger is signed up too so he can help you fine-tune if needed. Terry installed a JB on Jeef's Cobb-tuned n54 on-the-fly during the last Big Willow roll on event and Jeef ran the 100 octane map and totally transformed his car.

By the way your 335 looks like mine.

Yeah I was thinking about bringing some race gas actually, so I can get that little more power out of it when running all those more powerful cars!

And that be great if Terry could look at it and do some fine tuning!! I would be really happy with that especially because I feel like there could be few tweaks to be made to help me run cleaner!

Thanks!

I think there is a dedicated 100 octane map on the JB4...maybe it's map 7? I would run that map with 100 octane for sure....rather than running 100 octane on Map 5. Otherwise you won't really stand a chance against the other 335's. Before the event, I would call BMS to confirm the 100 oct map and fill up with some 100 oct and practice a bit on 35 - 50 mph roll-ons so you can get used to the initial wheel spin and redline shift points.

See you soon!
