HPR - FYI

There is an open lapping day at HPR on 11/17, and a few folks from bimmerforums are going. Wanted to mention here in case anyone else is interested.

Nice! What time? Not sure if I'd make it or if it would even be worth it on stock RFTs which I still need to last me more miles, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Helmet required?

For future reference: highplainsraceway dot com has all the details. Helmets are required, should really have fresh brake fluid, at least 1/2 pads. Stock tires are good fun.

Damn.. I was planing on heading out there last Saturday too... I still want to go if anybody else wants to hit up the next lapping day after thanksgiving weekend...

I am debating, should I keep my PSS summer tires on or change to the Conti Extreme Contact DWS that I am trying to buy from Dado?

Umm for the track definitely keep the PSS on. You won't wear them out too bad at HPR.

Every time I have been out there was with the stock RFT's, and they actually do pretty well, though I think they have a tendency to get hold more heat due to all the rubber in the sidewalls.

Since the weather is still like it should be in mid-July (we need snow bad and I want to ski), Does anyone want to try and get a group together for an upcoming lapping day at HPR? Winter rates and cooler air...

Great to see you out there Friso! Can't wait to do it again-- although I will have to change a few parts before I can continue at the track with my 535i!
