Mobridge Ipod and bluetooth kit similar to Dension
I've sold my car now but I removed this before it went back to BMW. It works just as it should and is in perfect condition.
This gives OEM bluetooth functionality through your head unit. The iPod works as synthesising the CD changer. Your car will need programming for this. The blurb from mobridge says "A mObridge Audio Car Kit seamlessly integrates an Apple iPod and auxiliary audio interface into your BMW. It allows you to browse the complete contents of your iPod, and control the operation of the auxiliary input. Some advantages of the mObridge Audio Car Kit for BMW: Speed of operation - browse your iPod faster, No need to change discs to change categories, mObridge supports all iPod categories - not just Playlists/Artists/Albums/Genre/All Songs. Extra auxiliary in. Ability to be retrofitted into your BMW. Unlock of your iPod for manual operation while connected to the vehicle. Subfolder browsing. Browsing display not limited by mObridge (limited to 250 by BMW head-units). mObridge Audio Diagram mObridge Bluetooth Car Kit The mObridge Bluetooth car kit is a complete media interface that integrates your Bluetooth portable phone into your BMW, as well as your iPod and auxiliary audio device. Because we utilize Parrot technology, we are compatible with a wide range of popular Bluetooth phones - ensuring that your new phone has a great chance of working with our system (please refer to our phone compatibility guide). As well as providing Bluetooth telephone functionality, mObridge Bluetooth also adds Bluetooth streaming audio control and complete iPod and auxiliary audio input control to your BMW compact-disc-changer controls." I had this installed by http://www.cartronics.co.uk and then it was removed by our own Makkan. I'm sure he would be happy to install it to your car and do the relevant programming if you asked. The installation manual is here http://www.mobridge-ipod.co.uk/media...Notes_V0.1.pdf I chose this over the Dension as dension couldn't confirm that their kit would work with CIC. This is compatible with almost anything with the MOST connection not just BMW's. This is setup for BMW but it's simple to change to VAG, Porsche etc if required. There is a compatibility chart on mobridge's website http://www.mobridge.us/products/most-bluetooth-ipod-aux The user manual is http://www.mobridge-ipod.co.uk/media...al_13_7_09.pdf I'm looking for £200 delivered for this. Any questions please let me know. |

Does this have an option for USB and does it display track information when streaming over bluetooth?
I also have factory fitted bluetooth in my E90, will this mess with it at all? Thanks |

No option for usb it's just iPod. It does display all track information when streaming.
I can't say about interfering with the standard bluetooth as I didn't have it on my car. If you give Cartronics a call I'm sure they can advise. |

This plugs into the one fiber cable i have in the boot and requires cd changer coding? the install guide says MY2010 not supported at this time mine is a 2010.5MY according to research im looking to get two things from this currently i have no bluetooth. and no usb port in the armrest. id like to be able to have realtime playback controlled via the cic idrive and display and bluetooth calling thanks Last edited by chriss_5; 08-09-2014 at 03:44 AM.. |
