Question Using AE as DRL's

Hi Guys
I was just told that I need different headlights to be able to use my AE as DRL's.
My E91 is a 2006 and the FRM is version 1 and with Bi-Xenon and adaptive curve light.
I was under the impression that i just need to upgrade the FRM to version 2 supporting LED.

Am I wrong or?
