front brake pads without clips?

Normal?

Textar pads came without the front clips. It has the back side clips though. Anyone else have that happen??

old pads on top - new Textar on the bottom

That's intentional on the manufacturer's part; my last set of track pads (PFC08) also lacked front retaining clips but had them on the rears.

Those pads will work fine but may rattle ...my car sounded like a bucket of bolts going over bumps. I didn't like it. My advice is to send them back and get different pads.

FWIW, my new OEM pads came without the clips too... haven't noticed any rattling.

They're OEM BMW and say "BMW Saxid" imprinted on the pads.. Old ones say "BMW TEXTAR".

They way they're positioned I don't really see how they would rattle... idk... I'll tell you one thing those clips do they make it harder to remove the pads!
