Race gas 112 octane JB4 Stock car what map? How much HP est?
I just got my JB4 in my car other than that the car is 100% stock. I love the extra hp from the JB4 stock map but I was wondering if I put 10 gallons of race gas 112 octane on a 1/8 tank or less of 93 octane how much more boost can I run when everything else is stock. What map would be good on the JB4 map 7? Map 5 (auto tune 12-17 psi)? Could I run map 2? Just wondering what I can do here cause I really want to beat my friends 2008 LS3 Corvette base coupe. I have a 2008 bmw 335xi. How much horsepower we talking (crank wise)? I have a DCI in the mail but wont be here till Monday and other mods will come in the future but not for now. Had the car for less than a week.
Thanks |

Without logs anyone is guessing. I'd start at Map 5 and see how the logs look. You could probably get away with Map 2.
Oh and don't run leaded gas in these cars. I think 100 octane is unleaded or if you have E85 run about 30%. |

Run Map7, get some downpipes and charge pipe/bov and go to town. 12.5 is what your gonna run with those mods.

does it matter if you're catless? I thought that was the only real issue with leaded fuels

That's true, I have heard leaded fuel will kill a sensor after 50-100 hours, quicker if you're running rich and spitting unburned fuel thru the system

Really? All he has is an intake nothing else... I know he is lighter the stock motor he has is 436+ maybe what 10-15 for the intake so around 450 hp he is lighter... I am ok with doing the FBO its the RB's I do not wana do thats to much for me... might take him with 500 crank hp (as is?)... reason why I want to beat him is he says he will supercharge the Vette the second my BMW is faster n I wana see what a 650+ vette feels like lol.

You won't beat the vet unless it's off the line to 30mph and he is a truly crappy driver, in which case he would have an automatic so it wouldn't matter anyways. And if your asking this I would have to question your drag racing skills as well ...
