Hey are you talking about the El Camino Real in Tustin? They hide out near the entrance to the apartments just after you pass Tustin Ranch Rd., I've seen them there many times - beware there are cops all over that Tustin Marketplace area...

i've had 3 tickets in my 12 years of driving, but I've been pulled over maybe 8 or 9 times. Most of the time I admit that i was speeding and they usually say to watch my speed and let me go.

I have friend's who are cops and the best bet is to be honest. Cops know you're lying, and they hate that shit. Just gives them more of a reason to write you up.

The craziest one was when i was 18 and a little buzzed after drinking with friends. A cop pulls me over and i'm beet red! He asks me how much i've been drinking and i tell him 2 drinks. Pulls me out and gives the the entire sobriety check. I pass each one perfectly. All of this is happening while my friends are in the car watching and i can hear them cheering me on as i pass each one. LOL Then he pulls the breathalizer and i blow a .08. No matter what i blow, it's illegal for me since i'm under 21. Now i know i'm screwed! I pleaded with him a little bit saying that i was about to leave for college..etc. He asks me how much money i have and I'm like wth??? I have a few hundred on me right now!! How much you want? LOL The cop says, i'm going to let you go, but you gotta call a cab and you can pick up the car tomorrow. Man it must've been my lucky day!!

Another time i was weaving in and out of traffic on the san mateo bridge while speeding. A cop pulls me over and asks, do you know how fast you were going? I said yea, between 70 and 80. He then goes, do you know how long it took me to catch you with you weaving in and out like that? LOL I just apologize and he told me to slow down next time!

Anyways, when people say you should come up with an excuse, that's BS. Be respectful and truthful and most likely they'll be cool with you.

I've been there soooooo many times lol I just got a speeding ticket June 1st.. Just gonna keep extending the dates so I can barely squeeze in for another traffic school lol

Was he actually hiding, as in you couldn't see him. Or did you just happen to fly past him because you weren't paying attention enough to see him?

I thought in California you had to be able to see the patrol car/cycle for a certain distance (not sure what distance) otherwise it was entrapment. Or at least thats what i thought.

he was hiding and he went back to hiding after he gave me the ticket. he was hiding behind a huge bush INSIDE of tustin high school's parking. there's like a huge hedge, a wall of grass where you cannot see anything behind.
he was on a bike tho, not a car.
