Maybe instead of Stett having two bungs near the TMAP, they should have one at the TMAP and the other near the elbow.

+1 but I am the only one I know of that has this problem so I do not think it has anything to do with Stett's pipe. I drilled a new hole in the rubber elbow and it works great!

To the OP,

Where did you get your aquamist system? How much?

You can PM me the info if you'd like.

There are two reasons that wasn't considered:

1. If you spray before the BOV, then you have a much higher likelihood of spraying water/meth out your BOV.

2. You will evaporate almost all of the methanol and lose some of the octane benefits. You want as much liquid methanol in the cylinders as possible for the best octane benefits.

I am not telling anyone what to do... just the reason behind the bung location selection.

Maybe LV weather has something to do with it? 100 degrees plus with RH in the 7%-15%. I remember once having trouble flying out due to that extreme air density problem. The evaporative cooling effect in those extremes would be intensified. Just a thought.

OK, I think I have it tuned in much closer to the final setup. Injection starts at around 20% injector duty cycle and climes at 1.5 times injector duty cycle until it hits 100% water/alc injection at about 74% injector duty cycle. I may fiddle with it some more, but this seems to be a good reference starting point.

I updated to Stage 1 and now really want to get the catless DPs on there ASAP so I can go to Stage 2.

Hold on, how are you using injector duty cycle? I thought these injectors are not 12VDC injectors making the controllers using IPW impossible.

Yes I was thinking the same way...but according to Richard, the blocking diode on the HFS-6 is good up to 600v.

Wow, that is really quite suprising. So are you finding the multiple/single pulses of the injectors to be causing any problems? How is your volume spray along the rpm range?

It appeared your battery is in the trunk? If this is the case, you can wire the #12 gauge wire directly to it. This is an exciting forum.

Richard - Thank you for all your help! Yes the picture of the FCM is a bit misleading it's pointed more sideways than up. I'll flip it around a little more though to make sure the drain hole is pointing down (never noticed it before).

The battery is in the trunk, but BMW has some weird plastic distribution block over the positive terminal. Also I wanted it to be more stealthy so I chose to stay away from trying to tap power anywhere near the battery.

It's actually working extremely well! I have a multimeter that will show % duty cycle so I can see what the HFS-6 is seeing. The multiple pulses don’t interfere...it's still just (power on time / time)...it's not counting the number of pulses.

I am spraying on boost/rpms, so I am curious how the injection volume is working as you climb in rpms.
