Ok guys, it's been hinted at that people want to get together. I think we should schedule a meet in the April or May timeframe. What do you guys think? Locations/dates/times/activities??

I vote Saturday, May 1st (or Sunday the 2nd), somewhere with a good size parking lot or scenic park area like the Brookline meet last year.
Or if you want one sooner, April 17th weekend. I should have my wheels/tires on by then if all goes well.

I know people want to do a Kank trip too, but that might be best later in the summer. A park with a good size lot would work - maybe we can grill up some lunch? Weekend date for sure, around May 1 would be cool with me.

I do want to tell you though, that April 11th is a Sunday and it will be PACKED.

April 11th is just a test and tune, no other scheduled events and early in the season so most of the guys are still getting cars ready. At least that's been my experience in the past with going to the track early in the season.

edit: you need to get there early, like 7:30 or so. Dave I'll be leaving from Portsmouth so it's only like a 15min drive.

I know I just did a thread about my drive through Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, MA, but it actually might make a great place for a meet.

They have two rather large parking lots, areas for grilling, etc, and some great scenic roads around the area for a nice drive. And there is ice cream and mini-golf right down the street.

The park is located right off of 146, probably 50 minutes from downtown Boston.

We could do that!! I open at 10:30 7 days a week. If its a nice day it wont get real busy till 1 ish. Sunday would be the best day. Got about 25 parking spots, and could block off one part of the lot if I have too!

The thing is, if its a nice night the parking lot will be packed with customers. Unless it was after 9ish at night. I could close up shop and keep the lights on in the lot. There is a huge office park down the street from the store with a bunch of parking garages and parking spaces that they have car shows at sometimes. I might be able to swing something over there. Its a great spot for photo shoots too.
