CCC Replacement - No Bass or Voice Commands

Anyone replace a CCC unit for a 2006 E60 530? The original CCC had the brown screen. The replacement CCC has a grey screen. Once swapped out all works except no bass and no voice commands. What's the proper way to get this working? Thanks in advance.

Weird. I had the grey CCC, replaced with Brown CCC and now I have too much bass.

Ok bass has been fixed. All I had to do was expert mode reset the following modules: Cgate, chost, ctune, caudi, cappl. It didn't work at first. Then let the car sleep, then like magic the bass came back on in the morning. No voice command but who uses that anyway.

If you went from the brown screen to the grey screen, then you probably need an FSC code to activate the voice command stuff. I've got a disc of all the US VINs and their FSC codes for the model years affected, but I don't know of any way to to activate the FSC except with Progman. The VIN of the newer CCC unit will have to be changed (probably only possible with Tool32) as the FSC codes are linked to the VIN.

Thanks for the input. The biggest thing was the bass. The voice command isn't a big deal. Don't have progman either. Thx!

Congrats on getting this fixed. I am having the same issue.
Can you just quickly explain the steps to 'reset' those modules with NCSexpert in expert mode?
Thanks!
