30,000 mile service checklist...

Hey Guys, recently had my car in to Savage BMW in Ontario, CA. for a 30k service and requested an itemized list of what was done and thought id share. they performed a standard scope, vehicle check, oil change and replaced the intake silencer...

Service Checklist

Standard Scope
-Check indicator and warning lights
-Diagnosis quick test
-Check 'check control' messages
-Reset CBS display

Vehicle check
-Check operation of horn, headlight flasher and hazard warning lights
-Battery: check state of charge ("magic eye") and charge if required
-Underbody: all visible parts incl. transmission, rear axle, fuel tank, exhaust system: check for damage, leaks, corrosion
-Visually inspect all SRS airbag units for torn covers, obvious damage or attachment of stickers
-Steering components: check for play, leaks, damage, and wear
Body: check for corrosion
-Final Inspection (test drive): brakes, steering, transmission, shock absorbers (external visual inspection)
-Power steering reservoir: check fluid level
-Check lighting system: turn signals, back-up, license plate, interior (incl. map reading lights), glovebox, flashlight, luggage area lights
-Safety belts: check condition and function
-Check windshield wiper and washer jet positions
-Function of rear-view mirrors
-Tires: check tread depth, wear pattern, outer condition, inflation pressure (incl. spare)
-Coolant: check fluid level and concentration
-Check instrument and control lighting and heater/AC blower
-Windshield washer system: check fluid level and protection level

theres a small area below for the tech to write in any "other observations", tire tread and pressure, and antifreeze protection level (mines was up to -10 degrees)

i thought it was funny that they rated my tires front = 9, rears = 8, and i got the tires less then 1000 miles ago but eh. hope this helps some of you guys out
