Same license plate light?
Just wondering. Are the JleviSW license plate lights http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/BMW-...duct_info.html and the e92-lighting lights http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...MW-225-39.html the same bulb?

check it out..I cant find the thread..but here's a pic..its pretty simple..you basically just need some wire,1 ''194'' bulb and some electrical tape..and maybe some needle nose pliers..basically you take the pliers, pull the prongs out on the bulb a little, tape some wire to it,then tape it to the metal prongs on the inside of the housing of the license plate lights. You're basically tricking the computer into thinking everything is ok,and thus you have error free leds..check out the pic!

I just bought the OEM led lights from the newer 3's
there is a few DIY's out there to do it with no errors and the lights look MUCH better than aftermarket and is in a housing thats designed to beam the lights correctly, the part number's you need, 2 BMW LED License plate lights (# 63267193293) $12.26 each 2 BMW Plug connector's for the lights (# 61136925634) $1.32 each 4 Bushing Contacts with wire (# 61130005197) $1.32 each Total = $32.44 Takes about 20 mins and requires very minor wiring, Basically you wire both LED lights to the current lights and one rear tail light to trick the computer for the resistance, No errors, No problems, and much better looks

Not sure, probably the aftermarket TBH,
But I didn't want bright, I wanted OEM and they look awesome, and remember the housings were designed for the LED's so the beam pattern is correct and not just a glare

Just a warning. Maybe it was just my set, but I bought the JleviSW ones and they didn't work at all. One would not work and the other would flicker for a few seconds then shut off. I bought another set from somewhere else and they have worked perfectly ever since with no error codes even in my 06 330i. Not sure what brand they are though but they look almost identical.

then buy OEM
Not quite sure why people want their license plate lights bright enough to land a jet behind them, I just wanted the updated look and to get rid of the yellow look of the older bulbs the OEM housing is made to direct the beam correctly (not my car but a similar thread on using these on the E46) as you see OEM parts, Still bright, and look at that perfect beam pattern for $32? C'mon guys how can you resist?
