Matte Black Grill

My grill is black except for the sides around the grill. They are chrome. I was wondering if theres any way to make it black or am I just going to have to buy a new grille.

Try the Search... there are 2 DIY's about painting the grill, one temporary with plasti-dip and one with real paint.

Also look under the Classifieds section, and youll find quite a few companies selling matte black kidneys, as well as glossy and even carbon fiber.

You can strip the chrome and paint it matte but you will have to touch it up as it wil chip over time. The best option IMO is a matte black grill replacement made from black plastic.
