Definitely a more comfortable ride. The spring rates on the V1's (most coilovers for that matter) are higher than the Eibachs. Also, the Bilsteins are valved more towards the performance side of driving so the stiffer springs rates (Eibachs over stock) won't deteriorate the struts as quickly. You'll be fine on the stock struts but they'll wear out faster with the aftermarket springs. There are a few guys on here with the spring/strut combo and I've ready good things about the comfort and response they give.

E91 328i Eibach + XI Bilstein

I put 328i wagon springs / bilstein B8 on a 328xi. I had KW V3, but the fronts went bad and are being serviced by KW.

The car is not fully settled, but I still want more lowering. It is measuring 14.25" from center of roundel to the edge of the fender. Rear is better at 13.75". It kind of looks like a 4X4 with the 19" M359's.

To get a little lower, I am going to remove the factory spring perch pad and replace it with tein coil wrap. That should give a quarter inch or so.

Handling feels floaty. Not sure if it is the gushy subframe talking, but it felt more settled on the KW setup. I am installing m3 sub frame bushings, m3 sway bars, and making some poly busing in the front and will update when that work is complete.

Can anyone else post their measurements?

I took out the strut tower plates and removed the strut pins. that gave me almost exactly 1/4" more lowering or 14" to the center of the roundel.

I am going to modify the spring pad this weekend in hopes of another 1/4".
