So my next event is coming up in less than 2 weeks. My only visit to The Glen this year. I really love this track and the folks that show up are awesome (and fast). Sadly I have no garage bay this time because I have registered too late. But I guess some of the Toronto folks might squeeze me in.

Now keeping my fingers crossed that Joel gets his car working so that I don't find myself being the only one from Quebec.

Yeah it's too bad I and MR are not going this year. Definitely next year, though. This is one of my favourite tracks. So, so so fast - and I would be very curious to see how the R handles it.

Next year!

So far my PF01 have exceeded my expectations on my E46M3. I use the PF race front BBK, but had to return to my OEM rears. Just too much grab on the rear. As soon as I go to a standalone race ABS system where I can dial in the F/R bias I'll put the PFs back on.

I think I mentioned it before, but I am blown away at the longevity of these PF01 pads. They did 24+ track days last year and are just a hair under 50%. Granted my car is under 2800lbs and is dialed in for track, but boy, that has really exceeded my expectations given I was changing pads the year before every 3 events.

Carbotech, EBC, Pagid, and Hawk variations all lasted me about 3-5 track days on my 335.

I'm curious how the PF01 formula holds up for a E90 335 or M3 dailydriver/track car.

Hm.

How bad are PF01s for daily driving? Noise/cold performance/etc?

I might just consider them for the next set.

my problem is only the PFC01s are available in AP sizes. So I don't know if F/R PFC01s are the best idea...give what you're saying Joel.

Let's see if my set of RS29s which are F/ upset the balance under braking...if not then it should be ok for the PFCs. It'll still be a while until I find out however. Still have decent amount of pad left

I hear PF01s are hell for our ears on a daily drive. I would not buy those for daily driving. Your ears will bleed.

I thought as much.

Let's see how the Carbotechs hold up for me. I chatted with a guy who did some crazy tracking on them and seemed to be happy.

I should learn how to do trackside pad changes. This will greatly help my overall well-being, I should think.

All my pads have lasted between 6 and 10 track days plus a limited amount of DD.

The most hardcore pads I ever used were the HT-10s... not a DD type of pad.

Professor Joel helped me conquer my trackside pad change inexperience.

I think the next time we do an oil change at my place or whatever, we should explore this conversation further

You cannot ! use PF01 for daily driving. You could not generate enough heat for them to provide adequate braking grip in regular traffic for emergency braking. Track only.

HT10 were my most hard core pad on my DD as well. They lasted the longest (5 track days) but were tough on disks. They could be used on a DD in the summer if you could tolerate the insane squealing. Not a DD pad.

An awesome day in the rain was had by all. It was a tuning day for me today.

Excitement in the rain. A controlled drift or two and a number of saves out of necessity - pucker mode.

I finally got a chance to see the diffuser we built at work. Looks great. Moved rain mist the way we expected.

I don't think it was ICAR, the Armco looks old. Maybe SANAIR?

The car is getting there. A few more tweaks to do on the engine. Yup it was Sanair. I got a bunch of awesome tips/advice on wet driving and learned a bunch more about the S54.

Anyone up for some ICar on Tuesday? I'm hoping to get in a few sessions on Tuesday. Looks nice-ish. 22C, sunny with some clouds ...
