Back from Mosport. Beaucoup track time. Half of all sessions were wet. So only did 2 with NT01s. Had great fun. Some people didn't at all. A few demolished cars.

Mosport is definitely not forgiving. Higher speed track means the offs are even more spectacular. At least 2 totalled cars and a few more minor crashes.

I had an off track experience as well in the rain. Pilot sport cups with low tread don't mix well with water. Sudden oversteer that I can't correct even though I was driving like a grandmother.

Thank god it only cost you a clean underwear

Was that with traction control on or off?

You still improved tremendously. And the car is less of a mystery to you.

From my understanding, no one was injured so I feel comfortable saying the following:

These machines met the only noble end befitting such masterful works of engineering. It is sad to me when I see similar high-performance vehicles that are only street driven, never approaching a fraction of their intended potential, and ultimately succumbing to vagaries of corrosion and/or neglect. The sweet embrace of a tire wall is the only way they should ever go.

Looking at the S2000, it looks like the car was running slicks, or at least tires with pretty much no treads on them. If that's the case, i'm surprised the car was let out on to the track.

Here is part of the story.

Running BfGoodrich Gforce slicks.
Track is damp.

Did you ask the people whose cars that crashed if it was OK to post these pictures of their damaged cars?I would be real pissed if pictures of a car that I crashed was on an open public forum. There are many reasons not to have them out in public out of repect for their owners wishes.

No, I didn't. Frankly, I don't see the big deal but I've never been in that position. For what it's worth, I did make a point of removing the visible plates but I will defer to your opinion and remove the pictures altogether.

My apologies to the owners if I offended them.

So i got my camber plates installed yesterday at Garbis. Max at 2.3 degrees otherwise the coil would rub on the inside. So he mentioned that if i bring it back to 1-1.5 degrees the toe will change (will become +ve). Is there much of a downside to that other than excess wear on the tires? I dont really want to be running on 2.3 degrees all the time other than on track.

Thx guys

Just note the restriction after 8 am. Chemin du village to Montée Ryan becomes 1 way. So u might have to go around the pedestrian village and back to Chemin du village.....

But if one way is the other way, then no need to change course....

excellent track weekend guys. success story was nick who broke 2 min! going from 2:05 to that is an amazing feat.

took a ride with canaut...crazy. excellent driving. helped me out a lot. that DCT also! my goodness...

i have changed some lines and bettered my time to 157.5...still not 157 but it's coming. camber plates have a insane effect on turn-in. completely change the car and now it's perfectly balanced. running 2.3 degrees. getting more and more consistent. driving 158.5 and less without traffic. still making mistakes. in due time...

no videos this time from me as i forgot my camera home.

Yes had a great 2nd day in the afternoon sessions.

It was nice seeing some of the guys, thanks for coming up M. Antoine! Ken and Antony were tracking as well.

George had I known you didn't have your camera I would have given you the one I had for a session or two. I thought you said you had a battery issue? Didn't notice you didn't have it at all!
