I use PFC 08s. Wear is great so far. I will give an update on wear eventually, but so far I have done 4 days on the fronts, and around 6-8 on the rears.

The only thing is PFC is kind of stingy on the amount of rear pads they give you. They could have made it thicker

I'm looking at Pagid RS 19's all around for the track and Pagid S (street sport) for the street.
My experience:

I switched to PF08 last year coming from Hawk HP+. The PF08 are twice the cost of the HP+ and last only about 50% longer. They are about similar in terms of braking power. However, the PF08 have much better initial bite and give more confidence when braking, which is worth the extra money for me. The PF08 are an "endurance" pad and are the replacement for the PF06 (as mentioned by kenneth). The PF01 is the all out "sprint" race pad and IMO, a bit too "extreme" for street cars. I prefer the extra durability provided by the PF08. Pagid RS19 yellow are equivalent in terms of performance to the PF08 but last longer, however they are twice the cost of the PF08...

Did your front pads have the metal springs in the back? funny story: When I got my first set, they did not have the metal springs, and I had to endure the ridiculously hammering sound of the pads moving back and forth, due to play and friction with the rotors. I use them on the street right? So, I had to avoid eye contact with folks in cars around me on the highway, I was annoying everyone, including my ears Anyway, that lasted all of 2-3 days before I went back to have Seb install metal shims to reduce the play and hence noise.

I still have those (almost new) front pads, cause I replaced them with the new model with metal springs this year. The rears do make some noise, but totally acceptable.

so they don't make 08s in AP shape...according to Carl. I will go with 01s, which are 200$ compared to my Cobalts which are 400$. Hopefully they last more than 1/2 the amount...he mentioned they should last even longer.

I highly recommend Ferodo DS3000's if available for your car George.

The DS2500's were the stock Brembo pads and those were a great dual purpose pad (street/track)

Performance friction is not an option for me as they don't make them for my car.

CanAutoM3 I agree that the Pagid RS19's seem similar to the PF offerings. I got quoted 350$/250$ f/r and most likely their S pads for the street.

The 3 sets I installed last year did not have the metal clips. It made installation and removal a breeze but they chattered and squealed like hell. I also got the stares and annoying comments: hey the dude bought a nice car and now has no more money for brakes

The set I bought this spring had clips, which was a nice surprise. So far they are pretty quiet on the street. Hopefully it will last.

That's how I feel with my carbotech pads. They squeal so badly. I will most likely use them one last time with my stock rotors before switching to Pagid's and new rotors.

(George won't do BBK after all)

My guess is that's about half price. So yes good deal IMHO.

I don't know why, but suddenly I don't feel as bad the PFC 08 cost me $500 F/R.

This is insane, cos frankly, $500 is a looooooot of money. So many 4l of milk from this, like 100?

About squealing, since I am too lazy to swap pads, I now have 2 sets of barely used front pads.

Clipless PFC 08
Hawk HP+

One for the infernal rattles, the other for the Mack truck brakes squealing Pick your poison!

I don't think you will be disappointed with them. They seem quite popular with track junkies!

Which ones? I have/had the XP10's in the front and XP8's in the rear. The rear did not last me that long and the wear was uneven that pretty much ruined my disc on the inner side. I also checked their other pad choices on their site and found that the XP10's are not recommended for cars over 2900 lbs, why did they recommend them for my car is beyond me!

The fronts btw have held up pretty well (I believe I have done 7 track days with them and still over 50%) and have daily driven with them sometimes in between sessions.

That's exactly what I got - XP10 + XP8. Hmm. I didn't know this about the weight, but a number of people who track their Rs run them. I should probably check into that. 2900 lbs is pretty light. My car is like 3,600

So Perry has put a set (front and back) of PFC06 aside for me. I will pick them up on SAT. Their prices are very reasonnable.

This will be my spare set for now.
