Getting a pre owned e90 320D

Hi Everyone,

I have just acquired a pre-owned 2011 model E90 320D. I want to know the probable mechanical issues and possible parts that could be worn out. Before taking the car as a daily, I want to do a check-up and initial maintenance. Kindly Advice

2011 320D has the N47 engine. Timing chains/guides/tensioners are your main concern. Plenty of info out there about them, but worth taking to a specialist if you're unsure. Maybe look through maintenance history to see if they've already been replaced.

Suspension components are likely to be in need of a refresh if they're the original parts (pretty much regardless of mileage).

I always replace fluids and filters on any car that's new to me - good to be sure of what's in there and see what comes out.
