To be exclusive you have to have one!

Though as we now have 1 E93 diesel I guess that takes it.

Another poll might be useful - which model do you have, e.g. 320i 320d, 325i, 330d etc. This would at least indicate engine sizes and petrol/diesel.

I think its quite interesting as it is.

E90 diesels outweigh petrol by 2 to one.
E92 petrol outweigh diesel by 2 to one.

The only thing I can't take into account is that some of our non-uk friends may have ticked the poll therefore skewing the results maybe.

Now ... can we have some theories to explain these results ....

My feeling is that e90 is a more practical car (5 seats) ... and also more common as a company car (many schemes will not permit coupes).

Company car drivers WILL get diesel because anything else is tax insanity.

Private drivers are have more choice and the coupe owners have already put style before practicality and economy .. so petrol is not such a great leap for them.

That is far too logical NFS. I have 3 children (5 of us in total) my E92 seats 4, mine is not a company car (I wish it was) and I wanted style, practicality (notwithstanding lack of 5th seat) AND economy hence the diesel.

No no no, wait... I think NFS is just about spot on with his theory. I think the point about the coupe being a strict 4 seater and practicality should be considered along with whether the coupe is the main car of the family/household or an additional car.

Maybe we need another poll about how many cars we have in our households and whether the E9x is the 'main' car that we actually use daily?

What about a poll on number of cars in household, and whether the E9x is the main daily-use car... not sure exactly how this could be presented as options... am sure you'll think of something though!!!
