I got 30FF when my stock diverter valves couldn't hold boost anymore. Went with Forge DV, never got the code again. Good luck!

If you hit target on map 4, its probably back to something wrong with the board as you said, it may have been tampered with (intentionally/unintentionally) by the previous owner. Id give that a shot for sure.
good idea!

Just playing devils advocate, sometimes its easy to throw a 30FF when the target boost is around 2X higher.

As you know, things expand under pressure and stock boost levels of 5-8 PSI don't expand things nearly as much as 12-16 PSI.

Keeping that in mind, just because a 30FF isn't thrown at stock boost levels doesn't mean that it can't be thrown at high boost.

30FF only occurs when boost target is not met (off by a certain percentage) for over 3 seconds sustained.

This all comes back to why a boost leak test at or above desired boost levels is the best method to finding the leak, ideally somewhere around 20 PSI, just to be safe. Unfortunately the set up time for a proper boost leak test is a bit overwhelming for most, including myself.

It's best to start with the simple things like checking connections, tightening clamps, making sure couplers are true and replacing all vacuum lines.

This can sometimes be inadvertently set and cause false low boost codes.

I think I narrowed it down to either WG or diverter valves. More inclined to WG. It needs adjustment to shorten the WG actuator rod. But not an easy task esp the front one...

Linear pedal mode 4/2 also throws a 30FF code unless you disable 30FF in the flash software.

Is this something related to JB4? 'cause I got the OFT.
I see different boost levels depending ambient weather. Cooler weather the slightly higher boost. Hot weather, lower...
Is this behavior related to WG not closing all the way like it should?

So now i guess I buy some lovely forge or other valves and go from there.
Did the forge valves fix your 30FF code issue?
