Buying the turbos is the easy part. There's reasons why really smart people took years to figure out how to do a single turbo or 2 gt28s.

That would be a good upgrade with huge potential. Someone who can weld simple stock like manifolds and some DPs can do it without any turbo work.

Why has it taken this long for a twin upgrade?

I bet twin upgrades for this car will be few and far between. Doing a single is a lot easier.

Investment and potential to sell units...

Example, looking at the FRS/BRZ market, they made turbo kits within a few months. Why? Because they have a lot of people willing to invest into it.

For the time being it is the other way around due to the O2 sensors. Anyone who can weld pipes can do twins. Only after the O2 problem has been solved people will be doing singles left and right.

I honestly can't wait for you hardware gods to release your kits for $1,500 including cost of hardware. Seriously, after hearing you guys describe your fab ability I just can't understand why it hasn't happened already. Is it because everyone's heads would literally explode in witness of the majesty of your potential creations?

Also because we could buy 2 BRZ for what most of us paid for our cars. The price of the BMW and demographics of the customer base make this platform not an ideal investment opportunity. Most items are BMW priced, assuming since we had 50k for a car we have the money to mod, the few of us that are interested in such.

They come with turbine housings as well. I'm curious to know why aren't more people taking this on as a challenge on their spare time with fellow enthusiasts.

I think Tony is a great guy from what I read so far and talked with him through email. I'm just pointing out the great price for two turbo's with turbine housings.

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that this is just for one. He listed the ad as having "two available for sale", and according to eBay 1 is sold and 1 is still available. I'd also be surprised if he'd sell a brand new turbo at half off.

So do it. Don't buy vargas' kit, go build your own POS kit for cheap. Please post back results within 3 months (as did vargas), I'd love to see what you come up with. And FYI, the price is for 1 turbo. You guys are ridiculous. Sell the BMW if you can't afford $7k on turbos, or build your own, but until you do either kindly STFU.
