Ordering questions
I never ordered a car before, but I wanna do it if I couldn't find one that I like in the dealer. I am thinking about the 328i couple or sedan. Is this the same price or cheaper if I do the order? I could order it from the local dealer, right? do I have to fly to Germany to test the car which I don't want to? Will they deliver to my local dealer? How much deposit do i need to put down? Sorry I asked so many stupid questions

heh, maybe you need to check out this thread about order tracking. It should give you a good idea of how ordering works.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828 They will ship your car to your local dealer. If you WANTED to fly to germany to pick up your car, that is called European Delivery. |

Yes you can custom order the car with the colors and options you like at any dealer. No need to go to Germany if you don't want to. The price should be the same whether you order one or buy it off the lot. The only difference would be whether or not the dealer chose to differentiate between custom orders and cars on the lot with regards to price negotiations. And it would be delivered to your local dealer.

they might ask you for a deposit if you order. The amount of the deposit can vary from dealer to dealer. They asked me for $500, some have said $1000, i remember reading 1 person saying he didnt even need to put a deposit down.
As for payments, you dont actually buy the car until it arrives so no payments till it arrives. Thats how it is in california anyway. |

I am thinking about 328i coupe with comfort, ZPP, silver color, Nav, bluetooth, rear shade, black interior. I don't know if Nav is worthy, I know my driving area a lot, I don't know how often I will use it. Will I get my deposit back if I back out my order after they deliver to the dealer? What interest rate are you guys paying anyway? I think the national rate is 7% for new car, is bmw around that rate?

Getting your deposit back will depend on the dealer. You could always ask the Sales Manager to put it in writing that the deposit is refundable. Though if you want the car, why would you consider backing out?
Interest rate will depend on a number of things that vary from person to person; no real accurate way to compare this. Look at local credit unions, typically they're lower then banks.
