Still a great deal. Not keeping any parts for your new car or starting fresh ?

They decided final price at $27 and I feel I can make more than that

I actually decided to sell the salvaged car for around $16000 or anything close. I just figured out by the 230 emails I received yesterday, parting it out is going to be a bitch...

E92_SID, I am going to get an 08 AW M3. When I pick it up, I want to start meeting up with you guys.

IMO, $16K is a lot for a salvage car that isn't repaired.

Did insurance give you money for it or did you just take it to part out?

I'm confused, you were parting it out yesterday, today it's a wrecker to be sold? Why didn't you just take the insurance money and start fresh? This sounds like a heck of a lot of work. Unless of course you received a check and are able to sell it outright, in which case I'd be super surprised?

Spill the beans man.

I think he's getting $16K + the wrecked car (which he's going to try to sell himself)...?
He's basically buying the car back from the insurance. $11,000 for a wrecked/salvaged car. That's a lot of money.

How the heck did you get them to give you the car back? Is that normal, i've never wrecked a car or been in a wreck so I'm curious of the standard procedure.

They offered it to me! They said either 22,500 plus car or $26,000 and they get the car.

If you're getting $22K plus the car, take the money and run. Somehow that doesn't sound right to me. Alfred's scenario seems more likely.
